Dr. Bernd Pichlmayer served as the cyber security advisor to the Federal Chancellor of Austria. He was responsible for the coordination of all federal cyber security matters on a political level. He was the national representative of the Governing Board of the European Cybersecurity Competence Center.

Prior to this, Dr. Pichlmayer was responsible for the national negotiation and implementation of the EU directive on security of network and information systems (NIS directive).

Dr. Bernd Pichlmayer, E.M.B.L.-HSG holds a PhD in law from the University of Vienna and an executive master of business law from the University of St. Gallen (Switzerland).
