Iain Drennan has been the Executive Director of WeProtect Global Alliance since its launch as an independent international institution in April 2020. Previously, he led the UK Home Office's international response to child sexual abuse. Prior to this, Iain worked in a range of national security and foreign policy roles in the UK civil and diplomatic service, including a posting in Kabul, Afghanistan. He is a co-chair of the Executive Committee of the Global Partnership to End Violence Against Children and Vice-Chair of the Global Steering Group for the Brave Movement for survivors of sexual violence.
