With over 24 years of experience in Information Communications Technologies, Chafic Chaya joined RIPE NCC in 2014, supporting the Middle East region with capacity development and technical expertise related to Internet infrastructure and connectivity.

Dr Chaya manages Public Policies and Government Affairs and serves as the primary liaison to governments, regulators, and external stakeholders to ensure productive engagement and ongoing dialogue to support, develop and secure the digital infrastructure in the Middle East region.

Awarded a Doctoral Degree in Business Administration (Internet Governance) from Staffordshire University in the UK (2018); having previously obtained a Master of Business Administration from Lebanon (2012) and Telecommunications Engineering from France (1995).
