Laura Taddei

Director of Business Affairs 

Laura Taddei is Director Of Business Affairs at BenevolentAI. She has previously held the position of Chief of Staff for Benevolent’s CEO Baroness Joanna Shields from 2019 to 2022. She works at the coordination, strategy and implementation of all Baroness Shields’ engagements. This covers working across drug discovery company BenevolentAI, international organisation WeProtect Global Alliance focused on the fight against child sexual exploitation, and the Global Partnership on AI, a multistakeholder organisation aimed at the development and deployment of trustworthy AI. She also directly collaborates on research projects with the WeProtect Global Alliance. She carries a M.Sc. in Law from the University of Florence. Her thesis around the safeguarding of sexual orientation in the UK, US and Italian army won the first prize for "Avvocatura per i Diritti LGBTI" ("Legal Profession for LGBTI Rights") in Italy in 2019.
