Visa Vallivaara works as Senior Scientist in the Applied Cryptography team at VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland.  He got his M.Sc. in mathematics 2014 and stipend from NATO from his Thesis. He is an author of 12 scientific publications on cybersecurity, cryptography and blockchains. He has won the best paper award both in ICISSP 2022 and in SECURWARE 2019. He was recently a guest researcher at NIST in USA for one year. At NIST, Vallivaara was researching Post-Quantum Cryptography and participated in the PQC standardization. After returning to Finland, Vallivaara has been PQC Finland project manager 2021-2022.
