Shaping resilience: Investing in Women as a Global Economic Imperative

With only 72% of cybersecurity roles filled and women representing just 24% of the workforce, the sector faces an urgent challenge in building a future-ready workforce. Closing the gender gap in cybersecurity is not only a matter of equity but also an economic and strategic necessity.

This session will examine the global economic and social case for gender diversity in cybersecurity. Panelists will discuss how international cooperation, leadership representation, and large-scale training initiatives can help dismantle barriers for women. The conversation will highlight scalable approaches—including investments in STEM education, mentorship networks, institutional reforms, and workplace policies—that foster inclusion and expand opportunities across societies.
