Bridging the Gender Gap in Cybersecurity: Addressing Barriers and Expanding Workforce Participation
Women remain significantly underrepresented in the global cybersecurity workforce. To better understand and address this challenge, GCF and Duke University launched a global research project aimed at advancing knowledge of women’s participation in the cybersecurity sector. The project's findings will inform the development of evidence-based strategies for decision-makers worldwide, helping to address both the gender gap and the global shortage of 2.8 million cybersecurity professionals.
This session will provide an in-depth look at the partnership’s progress and explore how global stakeholders can leverage the research insights to shape more inclusive workforce policies. The discussion will also enable participants to develop practical approaches for encouraging greater participation by women in cybersecurity.
