Philippe Vallée is a graduate in engineering from theInstitut National Polytechnique de Grenoble (INPG) and from the ESSEC business school. He joined Gemplus in 1992 and held several positions including President of the Telecom business unit. In 2007, he was appointed as Executive Vice-President of the GemaltoTelecommunications Business Unit. He was the Company’s Chief Operating Officer from 2014 to 2016and then the CEO of Gemalto until March 2019. Since April 2019, he is Executive Vice-President of the Digital Identity and Security Business Unit at Thales. Philippe Vallée is an independent Board member at Edenred since May 2021.
